Genre Favorites!

It's heeeere! The latest blogfest from Alex J. Cavanaugh, and it's all about our favorite genres. Mine are below. Tell me yours in the comments trail!

One blogfest, four favorites!

Movie: Adventure
Music: Country or classic rock
Books: Fantasy (Is anyone really surprised at this one?)
Guilty pleasure genre: I've got two, both from the world of movies and TV. One's sort of a genre, and one's just a plain old guilty pleasure. :)
  • You're Beautiful - My K-drama favorite! If you haven't heard of it yet, check out this HILARIOUS synopsis from Sarah Rees Brennan.
  • Desperado - Guns, guitars and Antonio Banderas. Best guilty pleasure EVER!

  2. I love classic rock. I'm not much of a country girl but there are a few exceptions.

  4. OMG, I just discovered You're Beautiful a few months ago and loved it so, so much! It's so ridiculous it goes all the way around the dial back to awesome. It was my first experience with K-drama, and I've watched Secret Garden since then. I'm hoping for a free chunk of time soon so I can devour another series.

I enjoyed reading about your favorite genres,
    Jocelyn

  5. Wow, wait -- you mean you actually LIKE fantasy!?!? I thought you were just writing it for the crass commercial sell-out potential...

    LOL - j/k of course. ;^)

And, oh for the love of all that's holy, now I'm DEFINITELY going to check out "I'm Beautiful" I read the synopsis and couldn't stop laughing...

  12. Nothing beats a good adventure movie. Despite what people say, I think that National Treasure is a great movie.

  20. Hey,

Is it OK if I say you win (another) bottle of awesome sauce for making me laugh with your comment!

(and is it OK to say I'm not a major fan of Antonio Bananas?)

  21. I'm a Banderos fan. He was Zorro, after all. As for country music, I always liked the Man in Black, J. Cash.

New follower, nice to meet you. I'm still checking out a few links from the Genre Blogfest.

  22. Making my rounds of the blogfest. Nice to see country on a list! I suppose that's my guilty pleasure - especially the old honky tonk and bluegrass classics from the 50s-60s.

  23. I never really got into country music, but Desperado is a great guilty pleasure. :)

  24. Hi...making my way through the list. I'm a new follower btw. :)
It's funny, I hadn't seen much country music on here until today. I used to love it, but got away from it for years. I just recently started listening to it again. :)

I love Sarah Rees Brennan!Nice to meet you.

  25. Country or classic rock? *stares at coffee* What did I put in this? ;) Just kidding! I should judge! I listed horror, heavy metal and Rom Coms on mine! *laughs*
I loved your Desperado comment. I read that to my wife. Too funny!
It was very good to visit your site, Nicole. Take care and have a great weekend.
