It's heeeere! The latest blogfest from Alex J. Cavanaugh, and it's all about our favorite genres. Mine are below. Tell me yours in the comments trail!
One blogfest, four favorites!
Movie: Adventure
Music: Country or classic rock
Books: Fantasy (Is anyone really surprised at this one?)
Guilty pleasure genre: I've got two, both from the world of movies and TV. One's sort of a genre, and one's just a plain old guilty pleasure. :)
- You're Beautiful - My K-drama favorite! If you haven't heard of it yet, check out this HILARIOUS synopsis from Sarah Rees Brennan.
- Desperado - Guns, guitars and Antonio Banderas. Best guilty pleasure EVER!
Saying hello from the blogfest...I too like a good adventure movie.
ReplyDeleteBig fan of classic rock here too!
ReplyDeleteI love classic rock. I'm not much of a country girl but there are a few exceptions.
ReplyDeleteHey, Desperado is a great film!
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in my blogfest.
OMG, I just discovered You're Beautiful a few months ago and loved it so, so much! It's so ridiculous it goes all the way around the dial back to awesome. It was my first experience with K-drama, and I've watched Secret Garden since then. I'm hoping for a free chunk of time soon so I can devour another series.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading about your favorite genres,
Jocelyn
totally on the desperado...

Wow, wait -- you mean you actually LIKE fantasy!?!? I thought you were just writing it for the crass commercial sell-out potential...
ReplyDeleteLOL - j/k of course. ;^)
And, oh for the love of all that's holy, now I'm DEFINITELY going to check out "I'm Beautiful" I read the synopsis and couldn't stop laughing...
I don't think I've heard of You're Beautiful before. Must check it out. But guns, guitars, and Banderas is a guilty pleasure trifecta!
ReplyDeleteFantasy is a great genre. I love reading about other worlds.
ReplyDeleteAllison (Geek Banter)
Desperado is a great film!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower. :)
Thanks Emily!
DeleteI love Desperado! Are we suppose to feel guilty about that?! Hehehe. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've actually never seen Desperado. I guess I should. The guilty pleasures are so much fun. :)
ReplyDeleteAll great choices. I'll listen to country every once in a while.
ReplyDeleteNothing beats a good adventure movie. Despite what people say, I think that National Treasure is a great movie.
ReplyDeleteJamie @ Mithril Wisdom
I totally agree!
DeleteI like classic rock!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen Desperado or You're Beautiful. Sounds like I need to check 'em out. :D
Never feel guilty over anything that includes Antonio Banderas.
ReplyDeleteI like country music too! I used to listen to that music all the time but I now listen to it sometimes.
ReplyDeleteAntonio Banderas: 'nuff said. :)
ReplyDeleteAntonio Banderas??? Oh yeah. "Nuff said....
ReplyDeleteNew follower saying hi, so nice to meet you!!
Talynn
Ha, Desperado is one of my husband's favourite films!
ReplyDeletegotta go with Antonio also. *drool*
ReplyDeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteIs it OK if I say you win (another) bottle of awesome sauce for making me laugh with your comment!
(and is it OK to say I'm not a major fan of Antonio Bananas?)
Ha - You're fine on both counts!
DeleteDesperado! Yes!
ReplyDeleteI'm a Banderos fan. He was Zorro, after all. As for country music, I always liked the Man in Black, J. Cash.
ReplyDeleteNew follower, nice to meet you. I'm still checking out a few links from the Genre Blogfest.
Making my rounds of the blogfest. Nice to see country on a list! I suppose that's my guilty pleasure - especially the old honky tonk and bluegrass classics from the 50s-60s.
ReplyDeleteI never really got into country music, but Desperado is a great guilty pleasure. :)
ReplyDeleteHi...making my way through the list. I'm a new follower btw. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, I hadn't seen much country music on here until today. I used to love it, but got away from it for years. I just recently started listening to it again. :)
I love Sarah Rees Brennan!Nice to meet you.
Country or classic rock? *stares at coffee* What did I put in this? ;) Just kidding! I should judge! I listed horror, heavy metal and Rom Coms on mine! *laughs*
ReplyDeleteI loved your Desperado comment. I read that to my wife. Too funny!
It was very good to visit your site, Nicole. Take care and have a great weekend.
